First a quick note: I haven't sent out a message in awhile. I discovered that my web hosting company was dropping names from my list randomly. So, I have been moving my sites to another host and trying to recreate my list of people who wanted to follow my art progress.
I have pulled addresses form show notes, e-mails, and purchasers to try to recreate this list. I know I've lost some forever and have put some of you on the list who have never received anything from me before. Please, send me an e-mail to let me know if you want off this mailing list! Just mail a request saying "unsubscribe" to jeri@withdigitaleyes.com.

Site ReorganizedI have updated the navigation by regrouping the images and "retiring" my original photo art images. If they are some of your favorites, I've left the navigation to their pages at the bottom of the homepage. The new categories try to reflect the underlying message in the images. Abstractions I & II, Landscapes, Musical Muse, Spiritual Paths, Mystic Marbles, and Contemporary Realism. I've linked to the pages where really new "stuff" is listed. New ImagesSome of you who have visited lately will have seen most of the newest images, but I have just added some this week. I have a new collection of abstract "landscapes" - take the "land" part of that with a grain of salt. "Rust" will probably end up under that category. New images in this category are "Over the Edge of the World," "Birches on the Shore," and "Tunnel of Light." I've also added three new items to the Spiritual Paths section. "Birches" is a frustration for me, because it looks so photo-like, but it was completely done in the computer. When my daughter saw it, she said, "What are you doing? We'll never convince people they aren't photos now!" The inspiration was a Word clip art image I saw - and they weren't even birch trees! That's it to the right - just to prove my point. |

Expanded miniature offerings. My companion site, JeriHolt.com, offers my mixed media miniatures to the retail and wholesale market. Last year I did jewelry with resin as well as the minis on copper. This year I have been developing as series of mixed media using glass bevels and copper foil. I really like these, and I'll be phasing out the resin and replacing them with the glass. I just got a shipment of 1.5 x 1.5 glass square bevels. They are so beautiful with my art under them! These will have a bail and can be worn as jewelry the same as the copper. The glass minis will also be available in 3 inch and 4 inch squares. |
I've also made some larger mixed media versions using stained glass as the base. Visit "Floating Chakras", stained glass, fused glass, digital transfers, and resin.
If you are going to be at the New England Products & Trade Show in March, stop at booth # 517 and see the new glass minis. Glass and cooper is so attractive and sparkly - not to mention the unique art transfers!
My canvas prints and a few minis are on exhibit until the end of this month at the Center Gallery at the Unity Performing Arts Center, Unity, Maine. Taking my bio description, "I feel that creating my art is like jazz; it has an underlying unity with infinite variety and possibilities." one paper headlined the event announcement with a line that I love!
