Color is one of the easiest ways to shift the energy in your space. Use Feng Shui’s five elements to understand the use of color in your home or office.
Each color is an expression of one of the Five Feng Shui Elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. The elements are used in specific areas according to the feng shui energy map of your space (Bagua).
Choosing the appropriate colors for your art or wall decor for your spaces will increase your positive energy and present strong messages for you and your personality.
Fire is the first element we’ll be covering. It includes the reds, oranges, purples, pinks, and vibrant yellows and represents passion and energy. Its direction in the energy map should be in the south and also can be used in the northeast and southwest of your home or office.
Earth is the next element and it includes pale yellows and beige. It represents stability, protection and is nourishing. Its direction is in the northeast and southwest as well as the center of your space.
The metal element includes grays and whites. It represents clarity and efficiency. It should be placed in the west and northwest and is also good in the north.
The water element includes blues and black and represents freshness, calmness, and purity. It is a symbol of abundance. It is a north element and is also used in the east and southeast.
The final element is wood and includes browns and greens. It represents health, strength, and growth. It should be in the east and southeast areas and also can be placed in the south.
